prepare to empty your wallet or max out your credit card in support in philadelphia’s city kitties: “On Friday, May 30 from 7pm – 10pm, City Kittiesand Project SAFE will hold a silent art auction and opening party at Studio 34 in West Philadelphia.” more details are available here.
the work.group has made available one hot piece for auction at the fund raiser to benefit the urban cat rescue organization:
the print - limited to a run of three (3) - is a product of some unbound photoshop gimp tennis taking place over 10 days in may of 2008, hand placed within the finest extruded aluminum frame available at value village in 2004. a gallery for each step of the process is available for viewing.

wow! so citykitties themselves bid on it? i guess that means that technically our piece did not bring any money to the group.
i think we just took $20 out of some city kitty’s mouth.
maybe i can get the piece back; then the cats won’t go hungry and we each get $10
i believe this was a series of 3 prints. one was auctioned off at a benefit as ‘art’; is it kosher to sell another one?
i guess so, if i can find the other prints and a frame.
That would be cool… and you could put it in a tube and send it and I can find a frame for it, unless you are set on mounting it and sticking it in your aluminum extrusion and glass contraption. Not to say that I wont be sticking it in something else; it seems simpler/cheaper/less chances for error to ship something in a tube, than glass.
ask him to send you the print that still has the chuck-wagon and the flaming barrel.
i didn’t get notices for any of these comments. it is no surprise that this site has also become a failure!
with all the cash we have pouring in lately, we should just hire someone to run the site.
