In Städsbørough to present a paper on The Master’s influence upon their practice, two workers attempt to make multiple rendezvous throughout the week from 27 Apr to 03 May 2009. Both newbies in the city and armed with incomplete and nonobjective maps, the workers schedule meetings at what would be a city’s archetypal points of interest:
church
library
park
‘the’ plaza
train station
market
museum
coffee shop
Following their failures to meet, they hurl accusations and they draw upon memories and accumulated artifacts – each adamant to prove he had been in the right place at the agreed upon time – which results in the mapping of a new city: a topography of a pwong city.
ha! you read both ‘topography’ and ‘passing time’ right? maybe we should just put links to the powell’s site for those two books on our calendar?
link
i can’t find either of them ‘reviewed’ or whatever on powell’s, so i don’t know how we’d earn off that plan, anyway.

we are going to do shit like this 7 more times then tape them together next to a pill-a-day box.
link
whatever method you are using to post images in the comments seems to be hosed. i don’t even want to bother with trying to find the problem right now, so. for the foreseeable future, i will just manually edit any broken image posts…alone.
link
shit.
when you use the new method of posting images (below comments), you need to add the ‘category’ in the 1st box and the image name in the 2nd.
in the case of your previous comment, it would be ‘news’ then ‘ah_park_1′
link
ok, i guess ppress converts hyphens to underscores. i’ll stop using them (-) in my image names.
link
i dont care. i wont be getting to the train until tomorrow, so i guess i will take the day off.
link
is that place even a museum? maybe there was some sculpture or a painting in the cemetery i visited.
link
i wasnt going to go there for a museum. i was going to go there if you were switching to a cemetery. museum is fine with me. maybe if i wait until wednesday i can go to the kimball in ft worth…
link
i hope you don’t have a screen grab of me throwing an orange traffic cone into a girl’s head at point blank range.
link
are you all done w/ yours? i have train and market left.
i guess we are going to merge the fragments into a single map? maybe your images can serve as 3d thumbnails similar to those that appear on the tourist maps that you like.
the background will be cafe au slait, i suppose, and the dates will be set in Wilhelm Klingspor.
link
i’ve tried to bring all my dwgs into uniformity w/ your vision; here are some thumbnails of the ‘final’ versions. i have some tifs i can send to you or upload so they can be put on that a4 or d4 thing.
link
i forgot to post museum. i will work out the final version of that piece asap. my access to the internet is dodgy; do you want me to put all of these on the same file so you can type the dates on it and submit it?
or what are we doing w/ these?
link
i have started a file but havent done anything with it, do you want to maybe post some handwritten titles or notes for your pieces?
link
i dont know, i am trying to make it feel like we tried to hook up in situ and were scrambling to find each other, maybe leaving each other notes or something?
link
‘dude, where were you? i was sitting right under the heat lamp, directly opposite a blonde girl in a plaid miniskirt. when she left w/ a fauxhawked toolbag, i gave up and left, too.’
link
i have dl’d the file and made some hand drawing over mine, but i am not sure how you think the should come together, have you concocted a geography of your icons in a file that i can overlay onto mine?
link
can i do that w/o a scanner and internet access?
in that file, each ‘archetype’ is on a different layer (some were folders if they could not be flattened properly). they were not arranged or sized an any determined manner; i trust you will manipulate them perfectly.
link
if you can tell me what to do today/tonight, i can work on it and post something in the morning. i can’t upload shit at ‘home’ currently.
link
i don’t understand why you have dozens of copies of each image on the site, but i will d/l them and see if i can ‘help’ w/ your sketch
link
quit your whiiiiiinin’; i added a couple of your things to the previous image.
what should we do?

link
this thing?
if so, i guess just submit that after taking my name off if it.
if not, can you just paste your ‘drawing’ on top of the file i sent?
link
looks pretty good except for those stupid blue lines everywhere.
are the dates visible? it doesn’t matter if they are.
link
oh:
1. Population density (inhad/sqkm) – 2, i guess?
2. average rent per sqm – prepare for compulsory liquidation
3. distance to city center (km) – from where?
4. major plus – heat lamps, girls in plaid skirts
5. amount of recommendable bars – http://www.cafetableaux.com
link
yes, if you have other data, you can splice it in. i don’t know if she expects this to be true; maybe ‘girls on bikes’ is more accurate.
