IN THE YEAR 2015
growing tensions between the citizens of manhattan and their foreign landowners - exacerbated by the inaction of their countrymen - lead the manhattanvillagers to secede from the united states. inspired by these tides of freedom, fellow urban centres follow m'ville's example, declaring themselves independent citystates. these communities govern themselves; the people reinvent their environment at scales which they can impact through use of their own skills, passions, and visions. folks begin to react more viscerally to their surroundings, their neighbours, and the codes which govern them. they begin to live.
this picaresque romp follows two gentlemen as their lives and works comingle over the course of the 'grand experiment'.
