if you happened to be in nyc this weekend and missed the opening of the ‘from ruin to rejuvenation’ show at the center for architecture, consider yourself lucky. it was an effing nightmare, too many people and too many of the same entry plastered all over the wall. i feel like someone’s mom saying they cant tell the difference between paysage d’hiver and ildjarn when i say i couldnt tell the difference between the winner and about thirty other foreign office architects clones, i guess that means i know more about black metal than architecture.

proposal for an exhibition at the slought foundation (and others). bascially this is the graham proposal with references to a ‘publication’ replaced by ‘exhibition’
This proposal seeks to activate a collaborative practice of storytelling in the public realm using an allegorical narrative of ‘anything goes’ self-empowerment to establish a framework for the personal mythologies of modern America. This proposal includes the presentation of artifacts from archaeological discoveries as well as the written historical record of the picaresque travails of two heroes who inhabit the fragments of a collapsed United States of America. This presentation, hereforth referred to as Latest Unpleasantness, will serve as the concretized framework that underlies the resulting applied lessons of newly unhinged collaborations such as those freshly enabled by the release of licensing, open sourced media, and interpretive latitude upon architecture and urbanism.
